Are you a licensed contractor in South Carolina?
Yes. Floor It And More is a licensed general contractor in the state of South Carolina. We carry full liability and workers’ compensation insurance. You can verify contractor licenses through the SC Contractors’ Licensing Board.
How long have you been in business?
We have been in business for 15 years and have completed more than 1,000 projects throughout the Charleston area.
What areas do you serve?

Do you use subcontractors?
Our own crew handles the majority of our work. For certain licensed specialty trades, we work with professionals we trust and have worked with before. You always know who is in your home.

How do I get an estimate?
Fill out our quote request form or call (843) 834-4105. We will schedule a time to come see your space and give you a detailed, itemized quote.
Is the estimate free?
Yes. Estimates are free and come with no pressure and no obligation.
How soon can you start my project?
It depends on our current schedule. We give you a realistic start date during the estimate process and do not overbook.
Do I need a design plan before contacting you?
No. We work from your ideas, inspiration photos, or a designer’s full plan. We help you think through design decisions as part of the estimate process.
Pricing and Payments
How do you price your projects?
We provide detailed, itemized quotes based on the scope of your project. The price in the quote is the price you pay — no surprise add-ons unless the scope changes, and we tell you about scope changes before we do anything.
What if something costs more than the original quote?
If something comes up that changes the scope of the project, we stop and talk to you before proceeding. We never do additional work without discussing it and agreeing on pricing first.
During the Project
Will your crew be on time?
We take scheduling seriously. You will know who is coming, when they are arriving, and what they plan to accomplish that day.
How do you handle cleanup?
We clean up the work area at the end of each day. When the project is done, we leave your home in good order — not in the condition that makes you wonder if you hired the right people.
What if something needs to be fixed after the project is done?
We stand behind our work. If there is an issue, contact us and we will take care of it. We have gone back out weeks after project completion to address issues — at no charge — because that is the right thing to do.
General Remodeling Questions
What is the best time of year to remodel in the Charleston area?
Late fall and winter tend to have shorter contractor wait times than spring and summer, which is the peak season for home renovation throughout the Charleston area. That said, we work year-round. Reach out and we will let you know our current availability.
Should I remodel before listing my home for sale?
It depends on the condition of the home and the market. Kitchen and bathroom updates typically offer the strongest return when selling. We are happy to talk through what makes sense for your situation — without pressure.
What is the difference between a renovation and a remodel?
A renovation typically means refreshing what is already there — new paint, new fixtures, updated flooring. A remodel involves changing the layout or structure of the space. We handle both.
Do I need a permit for my project?
It depends on the scope. Projects involving structural work, plumbing changes, or electrical changes typically require permits in South Carolina. We manage the permit process as part of your project.
